Wilhelm Traugott Krug's Career (jan 1, 1804 – jan 1, 1815)

From 1804 to 1813, Krug was in the professorships. He joined the Saxon army to fight Napoleon then. After the war, he offered a course called Encyclopädie der Kriegswissenschaften to which a book was published called, System der Kriegswissenschaften und ihrer Literatur, enzyklopädisch dartstellt von Wilhelm Traugott Krug, öffenlichem Lehrer der philosophischen und Privatlehrer der Kriegs-Wissenschaften auf der Universität zu Leipzig or A System of the Military Sciences and Their Literature, Presented Encyclopedically by Wilhelm Traugott Krug, Public Teacher of Philosophy and Private Teacher of the Military Sciences at the University of Leipzig.

In this text, he called war the product of forces of time and space acted through a physical terrain. The knowledge of such terrain, he suggests, is requisite, important, and indispensible.
