Berlin Blockade and Airlift (jun 24, 1948 – may 12, 1949)
Description:
It was one of the first major international crises of the Cold War. During this the multinational occupation and the Soviet Union blocked the Western Allies railway road, and canal access to the sectors of Berlin. The soviets offered to drop the blockade, only if the Western Allies withdrew the Deutsche mark from Western Berlin.
