1st century BC:
People in Ancient China start using heated
pans to remove wrinkles from their clothing. (oct 1, 100 BC – oct 29, 1 BC)
Description:
Chinese groups used a pan filled with hot sands or coals, and ran it along a piece of cloth, pulled taut, to remove its wrinkles. They are thought to be the first group to explicitly press heated objects onto fabric in order to smooth it out, and not simply decorate it.
