Cultural acceptance (jan 18, 320 – jan 18, 510)
Description:
Although the Guptas made Hinduism the privileged religion in the state, they permitted the practice of other faiths, including both Jainism and Buddhism. Temples and shrines were built to honor a variety of deities. Literary culture flourished from works on political and social behavior to poetry and plays.
