Description:
The Japanese invasion of Manchuria began when the Kwantung Army of the Empire of Japan invaded Manchuria, immediately following the Mukden Incident. After the war, the Japanese established the puppet state of Manchukuo. In September 1931, they claimed that the Chinese soldiers sabotaged the railway and attacked the Chinese army. The Chinese army didn’t fight back because they knew that the Japanese wanted an excuse to invade Manchuria.Added to timeline:
