**Birth is 1564**Saw four moons of Jupiter revolving around Jupiter and not the Earth. So not everything revolved around the Earth. This rocked the belief in the geocentric view.
His systematic observations leading to an understanding that science must be built on the facts as one finds them rather than on pronouncements of authority strongly affected his mathematical approach and that of this students.
