Description:
The Bolshevik Revolution occurred as a result of discontent for the provisional government established after the February Revolution. The Bolsheviks were able to seize power by promising the agrarian poor of Russia a better situation through communism. The Bolshevik seizure of power resulted in the establishment of communism as the form of government in Russia, which resulted in the fundamental change of Russian society and Russia's relationship with the world.
