Description:
He was an Italian astronomer, engineer, and physicist. He is known for his discoveries in space and is regarded as the father of observational astronomy. He discovered the moons of Jupiter, who are now called the “Galilean Moons” in honor of him. The mission to explore and find out more about these moons was also named in his honor, simply titled ‘Galileo.’
