The Sepoy Rebellion, also called the Indian Mutiny, was an unsuccessful attempt of a rebellion against British rule in India. Although unsuccessful, it called for a change in India, both from the people and from the British government, if they wanted to remain in peace. It would eventually lead to their independence by inspiring Gandhi to fight for his people.Added to timeline:
