Description:
Europe was divided into two blocs after WWII. The Western bloc was led by the US and the Eastern bloc was led by the Soviet Union. The two sides had major ideological differences which resulted in tensions during the Cold War. Each side had separate economic and military alliances within it, namely NATO for the Western bloc and the Warsaw Pact for the Eastern bloc.Added to timeline:
