Boxer Rebellion (nov 2, 1899 – sep 7, 1901)
Description:
What came to be known as the Boxer Rebellion was a revolt by nationalist Chinese by the name of “Society of the Righteous and Harmonious Fists” who rejected foreign influence. It was very costly for China, as it had to be stopped by foreigners (including U.S. troops). It weakened the Qing dynasty’s control and increased foreign influence.
