The King-Byng Crisis (1925) (oct 23, 1925 – jun 25, 1926)
Description:
When Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King, asked Governor General Julian Byng to dissolve Parliament, Byng publicly refused his request to do this. The Prime Minister won his final election, and after this event no other Governor General has publicly refused the advice of a Prime Minister.
