Silent Generation (jan 1, 1925 – jan 1, 1942)
Description:
The Silent Generation consists of around 50 million Americans born between 1925 and 1942. This generation was born between the two world wars. America was in a time of financial and global insecurity. They were largely disengaged from technology. The major innovation of this generation was the automobile. People communicated using letters, but telephones began to appear in homes more frequently.
