The Peloponnesian War (jan 1, 431 BC – apr 12, 404 BC)

Description:

At this point in time, there was a lot going on. This was the rivalry between the Delian League, led by Athens and the Peloponnesian League, led by Sparta. Sparta over time is annoyed by the expansion of Athens and their gradual hastiness. Eventually, they broke out into war against each other. Sparta sided with Corinth(Peloponnesian League), Athens became the Delian League. Because both cities had become very successful, it was almost certain, they would collide and cause conflict.
