Greek Civil War (mar 10, 1946 – oct 16, 1949)
Description:
The Greek civil war broke out between the royalists and the communists over control of Greece. The royalists were backed by the British until 1947 and then the Americans and the communists were mostly backed by Yugoslavia as well as Albania and the USSR. The war ended with a royalist victory - arguably due to the division between the USSR and Yugoslavia splitting the Grecian communists and their supporters.
