Description:
Louis Philippe was put on the throne after the abdication of Charles. His reign was dominated by the interests of the wealthy, and he did not pursue reforms that the people desired. This inaction led to the revolution of 1848, and he was forced to abdicate. France's Second Republic was formed as a result of the revolution.
