Lachoneus II (may 26, 2 BC – nov 20, 30)
Description:
Son of Lachoneus I, he was also a righteous man. He filled the Judgment Seat after his father and it was under his orders that those who murdered the prophets were sentenced to death.
The collapse of the Nephite Government came when Lachoneus II was murder in order to free those who had killed the prophets.
We don't really know much about Lachoneus II. He is mentioned only in connection with his reign as Chief Judge, which lasted less than a year. As he was murdered, and based on other factors, we can assume that he died relatively young.
Here I list him as being born in the year 2 BC, shortly before the Lord's birth, and when his father was 34 years old. He died in the year AD 30, making him 32 when he was murdered.
