Martin Luther (nov 10, 1483 – feb 18, 1546)
Description:
Martin Luther was a Catholic priest from Germany. Over time, Luther began to realize that the Roman Catholic Church was becoming corrupt. After the sale of indulgences, Luther left the church and started the Protestant Reformation, publishing the 95 Theses to explain how the church was corrupt. Luther was important because his departure from the church inspired others to convert to Protestantism and start new religions. (4.2)
