al-Murqanna Revolts (jan 9, 776 – aug 16, 783)
Description:
Revolts in which the leader claims to be the reincarnation of Abu Muslim, a chiefly un-Islamic belief. Called the "veiled prophet" by supporters as he was covered in a white veil. Also appealed to peasants like Sinbad, but borrowed a collectivism from Mazdak in the support of the abolition of private property, as well as women in common.
