Sinbad's Revolt (jan 1, 755 – jan 23, 756)
Description:
The first heretical/treasonous uprising of the Abbasid empire. Sinbad claims that Abu Muslim is still alive, and that he speaks for him, while also personally claiming to be a mahdi. The revolt has a strong appeal to poor and labor-class Muslims, as well as Zoroastrians.
