Ibn Battuta was an Islamic Marco Polo. He was a Muslim Scholar who traveled widely over the medieval world. He kept a journal about his travels, which detailed his 75,000 mile journey. Ibn Battuta had a different point of view than Marco Polo, which helped people understand what was going on in the world during this time period.
