Description:
Ibn Battuta was an Islamic Marco Polo. He was a Muslim Scholar who traveled widely over the medieval world. He kept a journal about his travels, which detailed his 75,000 mile journey. Ibn Battuta had a different point of view than Marco Polo, which helped people understand what was going on in the world during this time period. This relates to 3.1 because Ibn Battuta traveled the world on trade networks and roads.
