Description:
The Abbasid Dynasty was an Islamic Caliphate based in the middle east. The Abbasid Caliphate was ruled by a Caliph, a single ruler over the whole caliphate. The Abbasid Dynasty was considered a golden age for Islam because education and trade flourished. Arabic poetry flourished during the Abbasid dynasty, and so did mathematics. The dynasty ended when the Mongols invaded and took over in 1258. (3.2)
