Washington's Presidency (21h 39min, apr 18, 1789 y – apr 18, 1797)
1789-1797. Establishment of the United States as a nation. By his actions during the Whiskey Rebellion, proved that the new nation would enforce federal law. Encouraged the U.S. to stay neutral in European conflict. Established the precedents of a presidential cabinet and a two-term limitation on the presidency.
