Kingdom of Angkor (802-1431 CE) (jan 1, 802 – jan 1, 1431)
Description:
The Khmer Empire, at its peak, covered much of what today is Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, and southern Vietnam. This civilization was formed largely off of Indian cultural influences: Buddhism flourished along with many other religions from India (Shiva, worshipping of Hindu gods) and Sanskrit literature was largely used. The Khmers were mostly known for their architecture and sculpture.
