Byzantine Empire
476 CE - 1453 CE (jan 11, 476 – apr 11, 1453)
Description:
The Byzantine Empire was the eastern continuation of the Roman Empire after the Empire was split into two. This secondary continuation lasted much longer than the other half and kept most of the traditions of the former Roman empire. The large changes were changing their common language to Greek and moving their capital to Constantinople.
