Description:
Born in Kesh, Uzbekistan, the Turkic conqueror grew up in the Chagatai khanate. He built an army that very efficiently organized and went on a conquest until he ruled from Damascus to Delhi. He founded the Timurid Empire in Persia and Central Asia and towards the end of his reign, he had controlled all the remnants of the Chagatai Khanate, the Ilkhanate, and the Golden Horde, while trying to restore the Yuan dynasty in China. Referring to himself as the “Sword of Islam” he spread the faith to many countries that he conquered. He was a feared tyrant with a fondness for arts and culture.
