Iraq War (mar 19, 2003 – dec 18, 2011)

Description:

The Iraq War was fought between Iraq and the United States and the United Kingdom. This war was meant to end terrorism and chaos from Iraq by stopping the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein. The United States believed that Iraq was harboring or in the process of creating weapons if mass destruction to use against the U.S. The U.S. told Saddam Hussein that he either needed to leave Iraq or face war. This war was catasphrophic and thousands of military and civilian lives were lost. After Saddam Hussein was captured by U.S. soldiers, he was tried and convicted of crimes against humanity and then sentenced to death by execution in which he faced death by hanging.
