Northern Contentions (mar 19, 46 BC – mar 27, 43 BC)
Description:
While the record we have gives no actual details concerning what happened in the Land Northward. We are told that many records were kept of this land, but that they were not included as they were not necessary to the purpose of the record Mormon was making.
However, during these years he does speak of great contentions that spread over the land. while getting no details we are told that things even devolved into warfare among the Nephites.
It appears that these contentions and wars were largely between those in the land Northward and those in Zarahemla. It was a time of great turmoil for the Nephites.
