Tiberius Gracchus (jan 1, 163 BC – dec 31, 133 BC)
Description:
Tiberius was important to the plebs. He proposed a reform that was meant to reduce the number of poor and homeless people by allowing the patricians only a certain amount of land. The Senate did not like his plan and convinced Marcus Octavius to oppose him. The tension eventually built up, so some of the Senators beat Tiberius with chairs, and threw him into the Tiber River.
