William Golding, born September 18, 1911 in Newquay, Cornwall, died June 19, 1993 in Perranarworthal, Cornwall, was a British novelist and poet. His most famous work is the novel "Lord of the flies". The novel have you follow a group of English schoolboys stranded on an island, and their attempt to overn themselves. A theme in the novel is the struggle between good and evil. In 1983 Golding was awarded the Noble Prize.
