Modernism (oct 5, 1850 – oct 5, 1990)
Description:
During the Modernism there were different type of mix of literary styles, also new narrative techniques and new themes. Some modern classics are written as The Great Gatsby, Of mice and men and The old man and the sea.Some writers during this time are Margaret Atwood, William Golding, Anita Desai (the first female voice of India) and Patrick White.
Classical novels that still is very popular is for example The catcher in the rye, 1984, To Kill a Mockingbird, Lord of the flies.
Many dystopian novels were written during this era.
