1. Why does Tom always feel miserable on Monday mornings?
Because it´s the day when everything start, his school and all weeks slow suffering at school.
2. Have you ever felt like Tom? What did you do about it?
Yes, I have felt like him when it comes to not going to school, but I had never searched about illness and lied about that I have one just to not go to school.
3. What illness does Tom pretend he is suffering from? How does (a) Sid and (b) his aunt Polly react?
He pretended he was dying from a sickness that would lay a patient for two or three weeks and that should lead to him lose a finger. Sid reacted to it with panic and thought he are going to die. But Polly wasn´t so suprised because she already know something was up.
4. How does aunt Polly pull out Tom´s tooth?
She took a piece of silk thread and fixed it around his tooth, meanwhile another side was stuck in the bed post, and she took a bit of fire.
5. Going to school wasn´t so bad in the end for Tom. Why? What happened?
He found it interesting when someone in the school looks different because everyone is around that person, like the boy who cut his finger.
6. Have you ever lied to your parents or any else to get out of going to school or doing something you didn´t want to do? Describe it.
I have tried to lie for my parents when I didn’t want to go to school, but they always know when I am playing and when I really are sick, so it doesn´t worked for me.
