The Treaty of Versailles (jun 28, 1919 – jan 21, 1920)
Description:
The Treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty that ended WWI. A major part of the treaty was that it blamed Germany for the war and punished them harshly. In addition, the Treaty of Versailles created the League of Nations, put strict regulations on the German military as far as size and weapons, and forced Germany to pay thirty-three million dollars in reparations for their war damages. The Treaty of Versailles is claimed by many historians for taking part in causing World War II.
