Crushing of the rebellion (sep 15, 1916 – jan 23, 1917)

Description:

Punitive troops numbering about 30 thousand people with machine guns and artillery were sent against the rebels. Auxiliary role was played by local Cossack and settlement militias. Already at the end of the summer, the uprising was crushed in Samarkand , Syrdarya , Fergana and a number of other areas, and in September and early October, an uprising was also suppressed in the Seven Rivers . The last remnants of resistance were suppressed at the end of January 1917 in the Transcaspian region .
