War of 1812 (jun 14, 1812 – jan 1, 1814)
Description:
The War of 1812 was a war fought between the United States and Britain after Britain refused to recognize America’s neutrality in the Napoleonic Wars. The United States ultimately won the war after Andrew Jackson’s famous victories in the south. This war showed European nations that America was a world power, and that America would not tolerate other countries disrupting their trade.
