Revolutionary War (jun 17, 1775 – sep 3, 1783)

Description:

Started at the Battle of Bunker Hill, it was a war fought to gain independence from British rule in America. Ultimately ended with an American victory after help from the British and Spanish. The war ended with the Treaty of Paris (1783). The Revolutionary War was caused by anger towards the British by Americans for increasing their taxes without giving them representation in Parliament.
