Battle of Britain (jul 10, 1940 – oct 31, 1940)
Description:
The Battle of Britain was the first major and decisive Allied victory of the war, the first time Hitler’s 1000 year Reich was questioned. British advances in technology (radar) proved their worth, as Hitler’s decision to shift the focus of German bombardment from British airfields to London showed his recurrent inability to balance ideology and practicality, allowing the British air force recovery time which would ultimately lead to Germany’s defeat.
