King Lamoni (may 8, 136 BC – may 8, 73 BC)

Description:

Lamoni was the King over the Land of Ishmael, though he served under his father, who was king of all the Lamanites.
Lamoni was converted by the preaching of Ammon and then helped to teach the gospel to his people.
He helped Ammon free his brethren from prison, and his father made Ishmael an independent kingdom, with Lamoni as the king.
He was a leader among the faithful converts, and was the brother of Anti-Nephi-Lehi, who was made king over that people.
When the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi fled, Lamoni stood with his brother as he was an independent king, and thus the people were, in fact, separated into two kingdoms; though it is clear that Lamoni and his brother acted together in most things.

Nothing is said of Lamoni after the people moved to Jershon, and I believe he died shortly after, as he would have been advanced in age.
About his age we are given no direct information. However, when Ammon first came into the land Lamoni offered to let him marry one of his daughters. This shows that Lamoni was old enough to have daughters of marrying age (at least 14, likely a little older).

I list his birth in 136. This makes his father 23 when he was born. It also makes him about 35 when Ammon came to him, allowing for daughters between the ages of 14 and 20.
I put his death in 73, at the age of
