Description:
The date is the day it started- The Oka Crisis was an event that took place in Quebec where the problem was that a golf course wished to expand but Kanesatake Mohawks claimed it was their land. Mohawks set up a blockade and the conflict came to the point that Canadian Military was sent in. The events lasted 78 days as the Mohawk men backed down after being persuaded by the women and eventually the town realized that it was indeed the Mohawk's land.
