Description:
The date is the day is started- Prague Spring was a time where many reforms that were against communism were taking place in Czechoslovakia. With Czechoslovakia being part of the Soviet sphere of influence, the changes were seen as a threat to the Soviets and they decided to invade. Despite the fact that the citizens were benefiting from the reforms, the Soviets replaced them and the country was promptly turned into a state of oppression.
