Description:

Under Kings Argishti I (786-764 B.C.) and Sarduri II (764-735 B.C.) the Van Kingdom reached the zenith of its power and prosperity. Through a series of military campaigns, the Kingdom absorbed an additional number of smaller State entities, and by the 8th century B.C. established control over most of the territory of the Armenian Plateau, extending from River Euphrates in the West to Lake Sevan in the North-East.
