Description:
Sarduri I built a superior fortress around which the capital of his state – the town of Tushpa rose before long. Later, Tushpa became known as Van which is derived from Biainili the native name of Urartu.
The ancient ruins are located just west of Van and east of Lake Van in the Van Province of modern-day Turkey (Wikipedia link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tushpa).
