King Limhi (may 8, 169 BC – apr 24, 93 BC)

Son of Noah and king after his father.
Again, we are given no indication as to his age and we are not told when he died. But I give a rough estimate here based on other dates that are given.
Limhi was made king by the People of Zeniff that refused to leave their families when Noah fled from the Lamanites. They made a peace with the Lamanites and agreed to pay a tribute of one half of all their increase.
Limhi was a righteous man who seems to have born his trials well. I believe it likely that he knew his grandfather before he died, and after Noah was killed he ruled the people well.
When the people wanted to attack the Lamanites in revenge he urged them not to, but eventually allowed it. They were beaten back three times. However, when Limhi led the people in defense against a Lamanite attack, they were victorious.
His top adviser in all he did was the man Gideon, who was a skilled soldier and seems to have been the captain of the army for both Noah and Limhi.
When Ammon came with new of Zaramhemla and a means of reaching them, Limhi organized his people and they made their escape at night. They later joined with the rest of the Nephites and ceased to be a separate people.
I list him being boorn in 169, when Noah was 25. Thus Limhi was 24 when he became king.
I put his death in 93, when he was 76 years old, and just before the reign of the Judges.
