King Zeniff (feb 26, 223 BC – feb 13, 160 BC)
Description:
His parentage is not known, nor is his age. However, we do know that he was old enough to lead the expedition to reclaim the Land of Nephi. We do not know when this expedition left, but it can be estimated based on other dates given.
When Mosiah led the faithful away from the Land of Nephi Zeniff was likely old enough to remember it, but young enough that he could not have remained on his own.
However, Zeniff led the expedition of Nephites that eventually reclaimed the Land of Nephi through a truce with the Lamanites.
Zeniff was a righteous king and appointed righteous men as priests over the people. He led his people in two wars against the Lamanites, both times being victorious and driving them from the land.
Based on these and other indications, I place his birth in the year 223, making him 13 when he fled with Mosiah.
I list his death in 160, at the age of 63.
