Third Balkan War (jul 16, 1926 – nov 10, 1928)

Description:

After a border skirmish went awry in Bulgarian Macedonia, Greece declared war on Bulgaria with a national roar to take back land.

While Bulgaria had massively expanded following the Great War, their newfound land in the west was rife with revolts. This made fighting quite difficult logistically.

Initially, Serbia and Montenegro declared support for the Greek cause, while Two Sicilies declared support for Bulgaria. However, neither sides joined the conflict; Two Sicilies feared the entry of Romania (through the Dacia Pact) and the others feared the entry of Germany.

After a few months of fighting, Serbia and Montenegro joined the war, adding another front to the conflict. Additionally at this point, the Macedonians would revolt to form the Macedonian People's Socialist Republic.

Seeing their valuable ally losing and with Sardinia to the north acting aggressively, Two Sicilies would join the conflict in 1927. This would in turn bring in Romania.

Fighting between the two sides would continue until the German Empire stepped in to end the conflict. The powers met in Bavaria under threats from Germany to sign the Treaty of Munich.

The Treaty was extremely kind to Bulgaria, despite having been occupied by the Dacia Pact for multiple months. Bulgaria was forced to cede Northern Dobruja to Romania, Southern Macedonia to Greece.
