Reign of the Kings (feb 12, 121 BC – feb 2, 91 BC)
Description:
This section is the time of the book of Mosiah, incorporating the Nephites, the Lamanites, and the people of Zenniff. It also includes the last half of the book of Omni as well as the last half of the Words of Mormon
In this section many events are dated, and we are given the ages of Mosiah the II as well as Alma the Elder when they died. From this many other dates can be estimated to within 2 or three years.
While the Nephites had kings from the time of Jacob, I refer to this portion of the record as the Reign of the Kings because the principle events and characters are the kings. This is when we have the first kings named, and it runs to the end of the Kings and beginning of the judges.
A Note on Colors:
The line of kings of the Nephites is given in dark green with green type.
The line of kings of the people of Zeniff are given in dark green with white type.
Other peoples are given in light green with white type.
