American Civil War (apr 12, 1861 – apr 9, 1865)
Description:
After many things being done in order to prevent it from happening. The slave states in the South officially choose to secede from the Union, and attack Fort Sumter, beginning the American Civil War. The North and the South fight, separated by the issue of slavery. After a total of more than 600,000 people killed as a result of the war, it officially ended in 1865 after the surrender of the Confederate States. After the war, the USA went through a period known as the Reconstruction.Added to timeline:
