French Revolution (jul 13, 1789 – jun 12, 1791)

Description:

Following the American Revolution, France, on the edge of bankruptcy and faced with a grain shortage, saw massive public dissatisfaction. Louis XVI’s inability to maintain control contributed to the revolution and his overthrow. With the estates general breaking to the National Assembly, there was even greater expression of dissatisfaction. The revolution gave rise to more radical and radical expressions of dissent.
