Description:
Peter the Great expanded Russia through a multitude of successful military campaigns. His greatest achievement, however, was the Westernization of Russia. He created many government agencies to push these these ideals, many of which were based off of enlightenment values. He also founded the city of St. Petersburg, which remanied the capital of Russia for over two decades.Added to timeline:
