Rule of Oliver Cromwell (dec 16, 1653 – sep 3, 1658)

Description:

Oliver Cromwell basically became the very thing he swore to destroy. After going to war with King Charles partially over him dissolving the parliament, he did just that when he became Lord Protector of England! Talk about hypocrisy. All in all he din't do too bad, even ending the Thirty year's war with France, but when he died his son took over and that ended very badly. Bad enough that loyalists dug up Oliver's corpse and beheaded it for some reason.
